She reads her Bible every day, drawing hope from Jesus, and her voice carries the beauty of her unwavering trust in God.
One day, Margaret asked me a question that shook me to my core. With tears in her eyes, she said, "Would you adopt my daughter and take her to America?" She feared for her child’s future—poverty, despair, and danger loomed too large. Her love for her daughter was so deep that she was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice, knowing it might be the only way to give her a life of hope and opportunity.
I couldn’t take her daughter away from her, but I also couldn’t walk away unchanged. That moment became a divine calling, urging me to act.
James 1:27 declares, "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction." These words challenged me to be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer. God placed on my heart the vision to build something greater: a place of restoration, not separation.
A Vision for Transformation
The idea grew into a campus—safe, loving, and centered on Christ. A place where children can learn and grow, where mothers like Margaret can be trained, supported, and empowered to thrive alongside their families. It’s more than a refuge; it’s a beacon of hope for an entire community.
In the West, we live in abundance, often untouched by the realities of extreme poverty. But today, you can step into this story. Together, we can rewrite the future for children and mothers in desperate need.
