Every need of this ministry will be obtained through prayer. We may share our missionary vision with others and even make known to them the specific tasks that the Lord has laid on our hearts to do, but we may not raise support through prodding or manipulating our brothers and sisters in Christ. If this ministry is of the Lord, then He will be our helper. If He is with us, He will direct His people to give, and we will prosper. If He is not with us, we will not and should not succeed.
We will never enlarge or sustain this ministry by contracting debts. This is contrary to both the letter and the spirit of the New Testament. In secret prayer and God helping us, we will carry the needs of this ministry to the Lord and act according to the direction that He gives.
We will not compete with other biblical mission agencies but will use the resources that God has given to us to work in partnership with them. If the Lord directs, we will sacrifice our own goals and resources in order that other mission works may be helped and the Kingdom of God increased.
The staff that is employed in this ministry and the missionaries on the field are worthy of their labor. They should be afforded that which is required to live with dignity and to demonstrate that the Lord is gracious to supply the needs of His servants. To neglect their welfare would give an excuse for the ungodly to bring unjust accusations against the Lord, that He is either uncaring or unable to meet the needs of His servants. However, those whom this ministry supports shall not be given so much as to waste the Lord’s resources, acquire luxury, or live above those who so graciously give to the Lord’s work. To seek wealth, luxury, or ease of life in the ministry is to deny the call.
We will not measure the success of this ministry by the amount of money given or missionaries supported. Rather, we will judge our usefulness to the Kingdom by our faithfulness to the Scriptures in doctrine and practice.
Our goal is not to enlarge ourselves or to become a key figure in the Great Commission but to be faithful and obedient stewards according to the grace that is given to us.
PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR CURRENT NEEDS
LAND PURCHASE- $25,000-$30,000
Most tracts of land in Liberia are broken down into 4 equal sections per acre. One section may cost between $500.00 to 1500.00 depending upon location. If one section cost $1000.00, then one acre will cost $4000.00. We are seeking to purchase 6 to 10 acres of land. This provides enough land to build a three-story school to include an Elementary, middle and high that can accommodate up to 600+ students. This is enough land to build an orphanage in which to house the students and teacher housing. This also allows for us to build a soccer (futbol) pitch. Soccer is a big deal in Liberia Africa. A medical clinic will be on site for students as well as a cafeteria. A meeting hall will be on site as well as a church building. A medical clinic will also be included. We are praying that God will bless us with the finances needed to purchase the land. We will need between 12,000-$30,000 depending on location and price per acre. Every penny donated helps us get one step closer to helping these children desperately in need. We are praying for corporate sponsors and individual donors. We can't do this without your partnership.
CONSTRUCTION - $500,000-700,000
Many of these students have never lived in what we might consider good conditions. We feel it is important to offer these students the same opportunity that we have. Three nutritious meals per day. This involves having a small farm area. Chickens for eggs, garden for vegetables, for example. Fresh Water available 24/7. A three-story school building. The first floor is elementary, second is middle and the third floor is high school. Solar power is reliable and the cheapest source of energy so that the students can have electricity. Electricity allows for lights; many students cannot study once it gets dark because they have no light source. Electricity allows us to introduce them to computers. It allows for air-condition so that classroom temperatures are not overwhelmingly hot. We will provide running water and bathrooms. All things we tend to take for granted, because they are a part of our daily life. But for these students these are a big deal. This is important for the advancement of their country. These children need to experience and appreciate these living conditions so that they can understand progress firsthand. Most important, all of this is centered around our Lord and Savior.
THE SCHOOL -
Once the construction phase is completed, we will open the school. We will begin with grades Pre-K, K, 1st and 2nd grade. Each year after the opening of the school the initial 2nd grade class will continue to advance until they are the first graduating class. Yes, this is a slow and long plan, but it is necessary. First, we want to offer the students the highest level of education they can possibly receive. If students do not have the proper foundation to build upon, they will not succeed. We must begin in their early years to build this foundation that will allow them to grow effectively until graduation. Remember, our goal is to provide them with a superior academic and biblical education. As we move forward students that can pass the entrance examine for a particular grade may enter the school at their grade level. This is needed to assure they have the proper foundation to be successful. This may seem a bit rigid, however this is necessary for the long-term success and transformation of a nation. Remember, Liberia is not like the U.S. Second, this slow approach allows us to create a team of teachers and overseers that we can trust and offer the level of education we feel is needed. Trust is a major issue, and it is vital to move slowly in-order that the best team is put into place for these students. Moving slow allows us time to place the right staff in place.
